Description
ITT 4025 speakers. Classic Vintage. Fully revitalized.
International Telephone & Telegraph (ITT) was founded in 1920 by two brokers: Colonel Sostenes Behn and his brother Hernan Behn. The first major expansion of ITT took place in 1923, when the company consolidated the Spanish telecommunications market by creating an organization that is today known as Telefónica. Moreover, in the years 1922-1925 ITT bought several European firms, and in 1930 it took over C. Lorenz AG established in 1880 in Berlin, which was Telefunken’s main competitor in the radio receivers market,. This is how Standard Elektrik Lorenz (SEL), a producer of good quality commercial audio and TV equipment branded as ITT Schaub-Lorenz, came o life. Among the most famous products carrying the ITT logo were Touring radio receivers, Hyperion loudspeakers and IdealColour TV sets using Heliochrom picture tubes.
Based on a 25-centimeter oval broadband speaker and a 6-centimeter tweeter, the ITT 4025 speakers have an exceptionally natural sound in which you can capture even the smallest detail. What is also surprising, is the extremely high and rarely seen in the 70s speakers efficiency at 96 decibels. Thanks to these unusual characteristics, the listener has the impression of being in a live concert, which is why we recommend these speakers to enthusiasts of jazz and classical music.
The enclosures have been completely revitalized. Exotic Jatobe wood adds incredible charm to the speakers. High quality finishing screws. The wood finish is Chinese oil produced from natural oils. The wood is very pleasant to the touch.
